Podium and promotion to Lamborghini Young Driver: what a weekend for Guidetti at Mugello!

MAK Wheels-sponsored driver Jacopo Guidetti’s growth and contact with the Lamborghini Huracan GT3 continues. In a hot race weekend at Mugello, Guidetti was among the fastest on track during all sessions, despite a conservative tyre strategy.

Race of absolute quality for the entire crew of the #63 by Vincenzo Sospiri Racing: Baptiste Moulin, Stephane Tribaudini and Jacopo Guidetti took turns at the wheel in 3 hours of racing punctuated by beautiful battles in which they showed excellent speed and racing attitude.

Specifically, the two stints with Guidetti at the wheel saw him the absolute protagonist of a beautiful fight with Arthur Leclerc (former F2 driver), from which Guidetti emerged victorious. These battles earned him the podium in the PRO-AM category, collecting an excellent haul of points in view of the championship.

Immediately after the Tuscan race weekend, the announcement came from Lamborghini Squadra Corse, which presented the members of the Lamborghini Young Driver Programs. Thanks to his sporting merit and off-track attitude, Jacopo was selected as one of the very few Young Drivers in the GT3 programme, a rare promotion after just two races in the Huracan GT3 EVO.
