MAK Wheels-sponsored driver Matteo Cressoni achieved eighth place at the end of the 12h Sebring, the second round of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship 2025. The Italian driver stands out among the depressions of the legendary U.S. track within the selective GTD PRO category.

The #20 Proton Competition Porsche 992 GT3-R, shared with experienced Austrian Richard Lietz and Claudio Schiavoni, tried hard to fight for the top positions until the end. Unfortunately, a few incidents, such as a contact in the first minutes with a rival car, did not make it easy for one of the most challenging races of the season at one of the most unique circuits in the world.

Matteo Cressoni will return to racing in the prestigious American championship in September at the ‘Batlle on the Bricks’ at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The 2025 calendar for the strong Italian driver, however, will continue from Barcelona with the Prologue and the opening round of the European Le Mans Series in early April.
