MAK has provided with great pride the wheels of the Carovana della Prevenzione of Golf for the Cure: the initiative that aims to raise funds in favor of the projects of Komen Italy to promote prevention and focus attention on women’s health through the adoption of healthy lifestyles that also include a proper diet and sports activities.
The project, born in 2017 from an idea of Rita Menta, member of the Regional Committee of Lombardy and Donna in Rosa, offers golf competitions for registered players and open days with the Club’s masters to bring even the less experienced public closer to the practice of golf. During the days Komen Italia carries out also an activity of sensitization on the correct styles of life and on the importance of the prevention.
On the base of the binomial sport and prevention, it is born the partnership between Komen Italia and the Italian Golf Federation and in particular with their project « GOLF È DONNA » that, in the run of approach to the Ryder Cup 2023, it is proposed to make to approach to the practice of the golf an always increasing number of women, offering them not their technicians purposely formed for the training « to the woman », but also a wider look on the golf. but also a wider look at other aspects of life: research of healthy lifestyles, attention to health and solidarity.
